Peanut and Pip Photography

Wins First Place in Children’s Category

of The Portrait Masters

Third award in 2021 for Merrick Based Peanut & Pip Photography

Owner/Photographer Jennifer Beitchman

LONG ISLAND, NY (August 30, 2021) – Merrick-based, Peanut and Pip Photography, known for fine art portraits of children and families, won first place in the children’s category in The Portrait Masters this month. World-renowned portrait photographer Sue Bryce created the Portrait Masters. The goal of the program is to acknowledge, honor, and celebrate high-quality, professional work. In addition, the group will lend photographers the public recognition they deserve in their field. The Portrait Masters Awards and Accreditations are held twice a year and judged by the top portrait photographers worldwide.

Beitchman shared, “Winning is an incredible honor when I look at the combination of the panel of esteemed judges and The Portrait Masters Owner Sue Bryce. Sue shared how fond she is of my winning image – her words were beyond anything I could have imagined for my work. This award reminds me that I am doing exactly what I was meant to do — create beautiful art with children as the subject.”

Images were judged on the following areas: expression and connection, styling, composition, posing, lighting, overall technique and presentation, port-production, focus, and storytelling. Photographers who enter their work earn points in each competition round. As points add up, photographers can place at various levels such as; Associate Level, Masters Level, and finally Fellow Level. In 2021, Beitchman earned a spot at the Associate Level.

Also, this past April, two of Beitchman’s underwater images were in the Top 100 of the NAPCP’s Inspired Print Competition. This event aims to inspire the creativity of NAPCP members and photographers around the world while also providing an environment of collaboration and education. Photographers who enter their work in the NAPCP Inspired Print Competition & Gallery Event offer them the freedom to express their most creative selves and elevate their fine craft. The NAPCP Inspired Print Competition & Gallery Event is the only competition of its kind. Artists from around the globe submit their work each year to this exclusive competition. Only the Top 100 images advance to be displayed in a beautiful gallery event at NAPCP headquarters in Atlanta, GA.

In February 2021, Beitchman earned a Master Photographer award in Children’s Photography from NAPCP. The NAPCP Master Photographer Certification Program rewards NAPCP members by acknowledging their excellence in the craft of professional photography.

About Peanut & Pip Photography

Since a very young age, photography has been a part of Peanut & Pip Photography Owner, Jennifer Beitchman’s soul. Beitchman’s dad was a hobbyist photographer, so she grew up admiring his photos on the walls of her childhood home.

In 2004, Beitchman pursued an Interior Design degree from the New York School of Interior Design. While Beitchman has a strong passion for design of all kinds, photography has always been at the forefront. She traveled everywhere with a camera, taught herself all the aspects of camera equipment, and even studied angles and classic photographs.

When Beitchman had her first daughter, Zoe, she and her husband Robert called her “our little peanut,” and Beitchman began to pursue photography as a business owner. Little by little, she began taking stylized shots of babies and children outdoors as shooting in natural light is what she prefers.

Her company name, Peanut & Pip Photography, was inspired by her two girls, who are always her muses and inspiration.
