Connor | Long Island Senior Photographer

Last year, before my nephew left for his freshman year at SUNY Cortland, I grabbed him for a few hours and took some senior pictures. It was a gorgeous August evening. He had spent the summer hanging with his friends, and discovered a new love of fishing. We headed down to a local marina and got some great pictures of him with boats, the pier and the gorgeous light. I think we both almost fell into the water a few times! We had a lot of laughs trying to create some fun poses and I loved talking to him about his plans and worries for his first time leaving home. Connor is larger than life at 6’5″ tall with a personality and a heart to match. He’s always had a unique view of the world and we have a long list of “Connor-isms” from when he was a kid. I used to pick him up from nursery school and kindergarten to help my sister and I loved listening to the things he noticed that no one else did! Like the times he thought someplace smelled like ice cream or how he used to announce he was there when he came down the stairs. He’s always made us laugh and smile! My heart broke when he had to come home, like so many other college kids because of coronavirus. While the first few weeks were rough, he grew to love college life and made tons of new friends (no surprise there!)

One of the fun things we did was recreate a picture I took of him and his older brother in 2013. We went to the same location and somehow the exact same rock was still there! 6 years later. I hope Connor and all the other college kids around the country get to go back to school next fall!

If you are interested in booking a session, go to shop.peanutpip.com or contact me info@peanutpip.com. I’d to hear about your vision and make it a reality.

Peanut and Pip Photography is a Long Island based, natural-light, on-location and studio fine art photographer. We also love to travel and service all of New York City and the tri-state area. Our style is classic and timeless, with a bit of whimsy. Our goal is to preserve this moment in time. We strive to capture the magic and wonder of childhood, the dreams of teens and seniors and the love between families with beautiful, breathtaking and timeless portraits. Every session is customized to you and your family. My works stands out because it is a collaborative effort between my clients and me. I find a way to integrate both of our visions. I often joke that I have crazy ideas, but my clients always trust my vision because they know they will get something unique in the end. I don’t see the world the way everyone else does and that is reflected in the art I create. My ability to create on the spur of the monument is part of my magic. While I always have my go-to locations, I rarely shoot them the same way each time I go there. I get bored of the same things very easily and no two sessions are ever the same, even when shot at the same locations.
