A few years ago, I did Matt’s sister, Elizabeth’s senior portraits in New York City. We did one of my sunrise sessions and it was a great time. Libby is going to be a Naval Officer, so naturally we started our session at The Intrepid and then went to a few other locations around NYC. Fast forward to Libby being a very busy Harvard student, leaving limited time for her to come back to see her family in New Jersey. The one weekend she was going to be home, mom wanted to do brother Matt’s senior pictures, as his graduation was fast approaching. Since the whole family would be together, they really wanted to include some family shots as well. Of course, I was leaving for a much-needed vacation that one weekend. So we moved the session to Friday evening before I left, which was crazy hectic for me with packing and having to get up at 4:15am for our ride to the airport, but I made the trek to their lake community in New Jersey for their session. It was FREEZING and windy and even though it was the end of April, the leaves still weren’t on the trees! But I remembered how picturesque their community was, with a big lake and rocky walls and bridges. Even without the leaves, it was still stunning and proved to be an amazing location with endless locations for pictures. They had a waterfall, a great community house, a beach which gave us a fun, colorful background for some pictures, just to name a few. We had a lot of laughs and I really had an absolutely great time with this family. And believe it not, Matt’s was my first senior boy session! He was a great sport, enduring the cold and even laughed at my dumb jokes.

Peanut and Pip Photography is a Long Island based, natural-light, on-location photographer. We also love to travel and service all of New York City and the tri-sate area. Our style is classic and timeless, with a bit of whimsy. Our goal is to preserve this moment in time. We strive to capture the magic and wonder of childhood, the dreams of teens and seniors and the love between families with beautiful, breathtaking and timeless portraits. Every session is customized to you and your family. My works stands out because it is a collaborative effort between my clients and me. I find a way to integrate both of our visions. I often joke that I have crazy ideas, but my clients always trust my vision because they know they will get something unique in the end. I don’t see the world the way everyone else does and that is reflected in the art I create. My ability to create on the spur of the monument is part of my magic. While I always have my go-to locations, I rarely shoot them the same way each time I go there. I get bored of the same things very easily and no two sessions are ever the same, even when shot at the same locations.
