Sweet Sisters | Long Island Children’s Photographer

I was so excited to have another session with these sweet sisters this year. Last year we shot our session in November, when it was pretty cold and after Superstorm Sandy wreaked havoc on Long Island. Luckily we were only shooting a 30 minute mini session and we got some beautiful pictures.  This year we did the session in September when it was significantly warmer and the preserve was still very green and lush. We also did a full session and I was able to spend more time with the girls, who are almost the exact same ages as my little girls. Mini sessions are great but I really prefer full sessions. It gives me more time to get to know my clients and allows them more time to come out of their shells.

A really funny thing happened during this shoot. While I was over in another park of the location, Rob, my amazing husband/assistant/prop boy was setting up a set for me. The spot were was setting up is a path, but he was mindful not to be in anyone’s way. Along come two women on bikes and ask him what he was doing. He explained he was setting up a set for a photo shoot for a family, specially the kids. The two women accused him of being a child molester and threatened to call the cops on him. They obviously didn’t because no one showed up, but it was simultaneously the most hilarious and ridiculous thing to ever happen on a photo shoot.

You’d never know that little Grace got car sick on the way to the shoot. She was so happy and well behaved. And I love Madeline’s pose she struck:

A child’s special toy is so important to them and to have a memory like this is priceless: fall sisters photo shootSeriously, how cute are they??: fall sisters photo shoot sisters fall photo shoot sisters fall photo shoot sisters fall photo shoot sisters fall photo shootGrace is so full of personality, she reminds me so much of Piper, except she actually cooperates when I take her pictures: sisters fall photo shootIt took a while, but Madeline finally warmed up and let her real smiles come out: sisters fall photo shoot sisters fall photo shootThis photo shoot yielded some of my favorite pictures ever and this is definitely one of them: sisters fall photo shootI was DYING when I got this shot. Is this not the BEST?!?!: sisters fall photo shoot sisters fall photo shootShe is so stunning: sisters fall photo shootThis was the set that almost had my husband arrested.
