A few weeks ago, when we went upstate to go apple picking, I had an ulterior motive. Sure I wanted apples and it is one of my favorite fall activities, but I needed to take pictures of Zoe for her party invite. I had to get the pictures to my awesome designer, Cathy, of Printed Star, so she could place them, proof them and get them off to the printer! So along with all the insane amounts of things one needs to bring along when you are toting a baby for an all day trip, I insisted on bringing along props! That meant 2 different chairs, a bunch of dresses and pettiskirts, necklaces, headbands and boots. Good thing we have an SUV…So after we picked apples and ate lunch it was time for pictures! Of course it was mid-day (I know, I know…I know better…but I had to work with what I had, ok?) I looked for shade and good light.
First we set up in between 2 rows of apple trees. Dress 1 and both chairs (oh and I got new blog templates! Isn’t it nice???):
Then onto dress number two, in the shade of of a big tree with a gorgeous meadow beyond:
So…then to select the picture to make it onto the card! Oh boy, was that a tough decision. I wanted this one. I absolutely love her little hands, so graceful, with that peaceful expression:
But this one was the ultimate winner:
I think we made the right decision. Do you agree?
Oh and we put this picture on the back of the invite. Genius, no?:
