Sweet Evelyn and her mom came to the studio for a Fine Art session. I’ve had the pleasure of taking Evelyn’s pictures two times before and she was always amazing. But she really took it to another level in the session. She loved Sadie’s studio session. Like, LOVED. And even requested to wear the same yellow dress Sadie wore. Mom didn’t think we could pull it off because it the dress was huge on Evie. It was even big on Sadie!!! But I love the images of Evie in that dress! Evie was totally up for my styling and posing directions and loved wearing the big fancy dress at the end. It always amazes me the soulfulness a 7 year old can possess. You can see the old soul in her eyes. Yet, she can be silly and goofy! Evelyn brought along her two favorite lovies, who protect her while she sleeps. I adore the set of images we got with them. I always try to incorporate something very personal in the sessions, especially for girls of this age, where they are still little but reaching into the world of growing up.
I LOVE when moms get in the pictures too! It is so important to be in pictures with our kids. I really adore that set of images and I know they will both treasure them for years to come.
I really love these Fine Art studio sessions!! Book yours today!
This image was created by subtly layering in digital background from Summerana. It really helped achieve the dreamy and ethereal look I envisioned in my head. Summerana loved it and actually published it in their June magazine issue, was all about Fine Art! EEEEK!!!
Peanut and Pip Photography is a Long Island based, natural-light, on-location and studio fine art photographer. We also love to travel and service all of New York City and the tri-state area. Our style is classic and timeless, with a bit of whimsy. Our goal is to preserve this moment in time. We strive to capture the magic and wonder of childhood, the dreams of teens and seniors and the love between families with beautiful, breathtaking and timeless portraits. Every session is customized to you and your family. My works stands out because it is a collaborative effort between my clients and me. I find a way to integrate both of our visions. I often joke that I have crazy ideas, but my clients always trust my vision because they know they will get something unique in the end. I don’t see the world the way everyone else does and that is reflected in the art I create. My ability to create on the spur of the monument is part of my magic. While I always have my go-to locations, I rarely shoot them the same way each time I go there. I get bored of the same things very easily and no two sessions are ever the same, even when shot at the same locations.
