Angelina | Long Island Teen Photographer

When Angelina turned 13, she asked her mom for a photoshoot. I had done her little sister’s communion session a few years prior and now it was Angelina’s turn to be in the spotlight. She loved the TV series “Once Upon a Time” and wanted to feel like a princess for her session. My head immediately filled up with so many ideas! I love getting to play dress up with a teen girl! Like my own life-sized Barbie dolls! I went through my studio wardrobe and knew this pink top (which was actually a dress we used as a top!) and my long, pink skirt would be perfect. I also pulled a bunch of accessories like crowns, flower crowns and cool masks to play with. Angelina was up for all of it! The location we used as our backdrop also had a fairytale vibe to it and was the perfect setting for her session. Angelina was a dream to photograph and she very quickly got used to the camera on her and after a little bit of direction from me, she posed like a veteran. I also loved that I was able to go further with my editing, since we were going for a fairytale feeling and I could be a little more creative with it. We were able to create a perfect mix of innocence, sassy, fantasy and fairytale! I photographed quite a few teen girls last year and while each session was different, they were all incredible in their own ways. I cannot wait for Angelina’s little sister to turn 13 and shoot her session as well!

Peanut and Pip Photography is a Long Island based, natural-light, on-location photographer. We also love to travel and service all of New York City and the tri-sate area. Our style is classic and timeless, with a bit of whimsy. Our goal is to preserve this moment in time. We strive to capture the magic and wonder of childhood, the dreams of teens and seniors and the love between families with beautiful, breathtaking and timeless portraits. Every session is customized to you and your family. My works stands out because it is a collaborative effort between my clients and me. I find a way to integrate both of our visions. I often joke that I have crazy ideas, but my clients always trust my vision because they know they will get something unique in the end. I don’t see the world the way everyone else does and that is reflected in the art I create. My ability to create on the spur of the monument is part of my magic. While I always have my go-to locations, I rarely shoot them the same way each time I go there. I get bored of the same things very easily and no two sessions are ever the same, even when shot at the same locations.
