Last year, I finally got Rachel in front of my camera. I’ve photographed her sister many, many times over the years and she’s been quite the muse to me. But Rachel had no interest in a photoshoot. But her Bat Mitzvah was coming up so her mom finally convinced her. Rachel kindly let me style her, even though its really not much of her thing, but of course I ran with it! She tried on a bunch of my dresses and decided on the flowy blue floral dress, which looked amazing on her (I turned it green for a few photos just for fun and it looked incredible with her hair!) We started off in one her casual outfits, so she would be comfortable and warm up to the camera. It definitely worked! Rachel has fiery red hair and it really suits her personality too! She’s the second child, which means she’s full of life (My Piper has taught me this lesson in spades…and I’m the 2nd child as well, so I’m a little knowledgeable of the subject.) Rachel really got into the posing and I loved when she let me add the sweater at the end for a little bit of a different mood. I absolutely love photo sessions with girls between the ages of 12 and 14. There’s so much emotion in them, right as they turn into moody teens. I did a few sessions with girls right in the age bracket last year and they are some of my favorite sessions ever. The location we used for this session is a gorgeous private property, overflowing with the most incredible flowers and architectural pieces. I hope to be able to shoot there again this year, as it was easily one of the most inspired locations I’ve had the privilege of using. Rachel says she’ll pose for me again and I hope she means it, because as you can see, she’s stunning.
If you are interested in booking a session, contact me firstname.lastname@example.org. I’d to hear about your vision and make it a reality.
Peanut and Pip Photography is a Long Island based, natural-light, on-location photographer. We also love to travel and service all of New York City and the tri-sate area. Our style is classic and timeless, with a bit of whimsy. Our goal is to preserve this moment in time. We strive to capture the magic and wonder of childhood, the dreams of teens and seniors and the love between families with beautiful, breathtaking and timeless portraits. Every session is customized to you and your family. My works stands out because it is a collaborative effort between my clients and me. I find a way to integrate both of our visions. I often joke that I have crazy ideas, but my clients always trust my vision because they know they will get something unique in the end. I don’t see the world the way everyone else does and that is reflected in the art I create. My ability to create on the spur of the monument is part of my magic. While I always have my go-to locations, I rarely shoot them the same way each time I go there. I get bored of the same things very easily and no two sessions are ever the same, even when shot at the same locations.
