The Newitz Family 2011

I love repeat clients. I love getting to see the kids grow and change each year. I was so thrilled that the Newitz family asked me to come back this year and take their holiday pictures. Since we were shooting at their house again this year, I welcomed the challenge of having to come up with different poses and locations so our shoot didn’t look exactly like last year. Luckily, I was familiar with their house which made it really easy for me to previsualize how I wanted to use their architecture and other props. And since the kids were all a year older, it would be a different because they are all a little more mature. Thankfully, Payton had napped before we got there and was super happy (unlike last year when she missed her nap and was unhappy in the beginning.)

We started off the shoot in front of their house, using their scrolling iron doors as a gorgeous backdrop:

I L.O.V.E. this picture. I love how everyone is smiling so perfectly and Payton is so perfectly serious. She sort of steals the spotlight:

Payton was very much a daddy’s girl that day:

How often does a photographer get so lucky to shoot such a stunning family:

Deb & Noah thought I was a little nuts for dragging their dining room chairs out onto the lawn. But once they saw the pictures and loved them, they didn’t think I was so nuts after all:

Once again, Payton and her huge smile steal the spotlight:

This is my other favorite shot from our session. The light on Payton in the color version is to.die.for but the black & white really showcases her gorgeously long eyelashes. All I know is, if I had a shot like this of my husband and daughter, you can bet I would have a 30×40 canvas of this in her room:

Dylan and Ryan, being another year older, were so chill and cool during our shoot and as always, they are so amazing with their little sister:

With such a grand foyer with incredible light, I knew we had to have a little fun at the end:

Thank you Newitz family for having me back again this year and I can’t wait to see you all next year!!!
