Central Park + 3 Sweet Kids: The James Family

One recent hot Sunday May afternoon, I met up with the James family in Central Park to finally do our session of Charlotte, Quinn and Henry. I say finally because we had to postpone once due to unseasonably chilly May weather and we were so worried we’d have to reschedule again when the weather was just being plain unpredictable! Despite the fact that it was going to hot that afternoon and mom Jen worried the boys would look all red and sweaty, we went ahead and did the shoot. I have to say, right here and now, I am such a lucky photographer. These kids, like pretty much all the kids I get to work with, were ah-mazing. They never complained once, even though it was H-O-T. They never showed signs of meltdown or doneness (Yes, I just made that word up.). Sure, at the end it was somewhat obvious I had lost their attention span, especially of the boys. And they were a little sweaty, but they never complained! Ever!!! Even when I ate a ice pop in front of them in an attempt to cool myself down, they behaved!

We met up at the beautiful Bathesda Fountain and started our shoot in gorgeously coordinated clothes (Jen and I email A LOT about what the kids were going to wear and she knocked it out of the park!):

These 3 kids, Charlotte 7, Quinn 5 and Henry 1.5,obviously love each other and get along so well:

Charlotte absolutely LOVED our session and even asked Jen the next day if they could do a photo shoot with me everyday! How sweet is that?:

Sweet little Henry and those bloomers:

Charlotte and Quinn have a so much fun together:

Possibly one of my very favorite shots I have ever taken:

So sweet:

Didn’t I say these two have a lot of fun together?:

Henry and his gorgeous eyes:

Love these two shots of Henry and Quinn in their hats:

Quinn cracks me up:

Talk about baby blues…:

This is how I imagine Charlotte looks a LOT when she’s around her brothers:

Again, so sweet:

Towards the end and Quinn was being super silly:

At the end of our shoot, the kids were pretty sweaty and tired. And silly! I love this little outtake of Charlotte & Quinn:

Thank you, James family for being so awesome! Can’t wait to work with you again!!!
