I think Zoe is so fortunate to be growing up with dogs. And 3 whippets no less! Whippets are such awesome, gentle pooches. Falco is our youngest at 10 years old and is definitely the most skittish around kids. Although I’m not really sure why, considering my oldest nephew is 11 and we’ve had Falco since he was about 5 months old. But after a year of Zoe being in his life, he is finally beginning to feel more comfortable around her. Read: he doesn’t get up and run away every time she comes near him. Before little Zoe came along, our holiday cards were always focused on the dogs. And believe me, there are some good ones. Like the year we dressed them as Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanza….so we have some doggy “props” we’ve used in the past. I pulled out the antlers we had for them, in case we wanted to use them on the card this year (you’ll see very soon how we incorporated them) and Zoe likes playing with them. After she saw me put them on the dogs, she decided she should do that too. She laughs hysterically as she tries, rather unsuccessfully, to get them any particular dog. The other night I was able to capture a cute exchange between her and Falco:
My favorite is the one of Falco sneaking in a kiss. Zoe loves her doggies and the doggies love their Zoe. They are all so lucky.
